What is a Community Working Group?
A Community Working Group is an advisory body that will be tasked with reviewing various Strategic Planning Proposals that will facilitate and guide development within the Town. The Community Working Group will perform the role of being a conduit between Council and the community of the Town of Mosman Park and assist in providing local community priorities on a range of matters.
Who can sit on a Community Working Group?
It is anticipated that the Community Working Group will comprise of members that represent residents, property owners, and business owners throughout the Town.
How will members of the Community Working Group be selected?
It is intended that the Community Working Group will represent a range of demographics. The Town seeks responses to certain questions within the expression of interest survey, and review of the survey responses will allow the Town to select members of the Town who represent multiple demographics.
What is involved in being part of the Community Working Group?
The Community Working Group will meet on an 'as needed' basis to discuss various strategic planning projects that are proposed within the Town of Mosman Park. Members will be required to:
What are the benefits of taking part in a Community Working Group?
By taking part in the Community Working Group you will be assisting in directing the future development outcomes of the Town of Mosman Park. The Community Working Group will provide advice on specific Local Planning Policies and large scale Strategic Projects that will influence how the Town grows and is shaped into the future.
What is the time commitment I will be required to give to the CWG?
Indicatively, the Town assumes that there will be a base commitment of six 90-minute sessions per year. However, this commitment will fluctuate based upon the strategic projects brought forward by the Town.
