Consultation has concluded

The Town of Mosman Park has revised the previously advertised draft Local Planning Policy No. 20 (LPP20) in regard to planning for the Town Centre Area. The revised LPP20 is now being re-advertised and your comments are invited.

Amendments made to the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 (Planning Regulations) in early 2021 now mean that decision makers must consider the "desired future character" of a locality when exercising their judgment to determine a planning proposal. The revised LPP20 is now focussed on establishing the existing and desired future character of the Town Centre Precinct.

The existing and desired future character statements are largely pulled from the initial draft LPP20 that was previously advertised and based on evidence provided through the character study and evaluation undertaken by Mackay Urban Design (refer to document library).

The revised LPP20 has also removed any reference to the conceptual proposals contained in the draft Town Centre Plan.

Where can I have my say and review the Local Planning Policy?

A copy of the revised Local Planning Policy No. 20 - Town Centre Precinct: Context and Character can be accessed via the 'Documents' link at the right hand side of this page. A copy of the initial Policy that was advertised can also be found here for your information.

To submit your feedback, please click the 'Have Your Say' tab further down the page and register.

Consultation is open until Monday, 21 February 2022.
