Expressions of Interest for the Community Reference Group
The Town is calling for Expressions of Interest from persons who want to be part of the Town's Community Reference Group for the Precinct Structure Plan project. There is approximately 5 weeks to put forward you interest before 6 April 2022, by filling out the Community Reference Group survey on this webpage.
1st Community Reference Group Workshop
The Community Reference Group (CRG) nominees will meet for the first time. This is an extremely important role where the CRG will work with others from the community and consider all the information available about the Town Centre including what has come out of previous studies or in existing plans for the area. Using background materials and the workshop process, input from the CRG will guide the recommended built form and character outcomes for the Town Centre into the future.

Design Principles Survey begins for community feedback
The Town is seeking your feedback on the draft ‘Design Principles’ that will help inform the future planning of the Mosman Park Town Centre.
Consideration of Survey responses
The Town's heritage consultants, Element Advisory considers the Design Principle survey responses and utilises the feedback to start preparing the Draft Precinct Structure Plan. This document can be found under the documents tab on this page.
Engagement Outcomes Report - Community Reference Group
This report outlines the engagement undertaken with the Community Reference Group and associated tasks used to understand what the most important elements of the Precinct were to this group. Once these were understood, the elements were used to prepare 'Design Principles' for the Precinct Structure Plan.
Engagement Outcomes Report - Broader community engagement
The Design Principles prepared by the Community Reference Group were tested by sharing with you via a survey to see if you agreed with these overaching principles. The method of engagement and the results are provided in the report which can be found under the documents tab.
Preparation of the Draft Precinct Structure Plan
The Town's consultant, Hames Sharley has various specialist reports prepared to inform the drafting of the Precinct Structure Plan.
Preparation of Draft Scheme Amendment
A draft amendment to the Town's Local Planning Scheme is being prepared in order to provide reference to the Draft Precinct Structure Plan.
The amendment to the Town's Scheme requires approval from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage to publicly advertise and is required to be advertised with the Draft Precinct Structure Plan.
Draft PSP and Scheme Amendment being reviewed by DPLH from early February 2024
The draft PSP and Scheme Amendment documents were sent to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) for review. The Town is working with DPLH to get the documents and pre-requisite information in order to achieve approval to advertise these documents to the community for feedback. Watch this space.
