Planning Scheme Amendment No. 9 – Now Gazetted

The Town of Mosman Park is pleased to announce that Scheme Amendment No. 9 to Local Planning Scheme No. 3 has now been officially gazetted.

This marks the final step in the amendment process, following endorsement from the Minister for Planning and Lands and the completion of required modifications by the applicant.

The gazetted amendment documentation is now available under the 'Documents' tab on this page.

Those who made a submission during the consultation period will be notified directly.

The Town of Mosman Park has received endorsement from the Minister for Planning and Lands for proposed Scheme Amendment No. 9 to Local Planning Scheme No. 3. This endorsement is subject to several minor modifications to the amendment text and the overall site layout.

Importantly, this is an applicant-led amendment, and the responsibility for making the required changes rests with the applicant. Once these modifications have been completed and submitted, the Town will forward the updated documentation to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage for final certification.

Following certification, the Town will request publication of the amendment in the Government Gazette, which will formally finalise the process.

Once gazetted, all relevant documents will be made available on the Town’s website, and notification will be provided to those who made a submission during the consultation period. Until that time, the content of the documents remains confidential.

Please be advised that the Statutory Planning Committee of the Western Australian Planning Commission has notified the Town that the above noted Scheme Amendment that proposes zoning changes to Lot 600 McCabe Street (Rocky Bay) is due to be considered at their August 13 Meeting.

Please be advised that Council, at their Ordinary Council Meeting of 25 March 2025 resolved to adopt the proposed amendment subject to recommended modifications that respond to key comments received during consultation.

A community Q&A and information workshop was held at the Town's administration meeting on Wednesday 27 November with 41 community members in attendance.

Thank you to all who attended this session, the conversations around the room were considered and some excellent questions were raised.

The community Information and Q&A session is an opportunity for community members to find out more and have your questions answered.

Just a reminder, this is not a Council Meeting and there are no decisions to be made at this session. The intent of the session is to outline the amendment process and specify what actions the Town can and cannot undertake in relation to the amendment. In addition there will be an allocation of time for Q&A.
