Scheme Amendment 12 and Local Planning Policy 43 - Urban Greening

The Town is proposing a new approach to protecting trees on private land, through a draft policy called Local Planning Policy 43 (LPP43) – Urban Greening: Tree Preservation on Private Property. The Town is seeking feedback from individuals, community groups, and organisations.

Previously, The Town’s community has consistently emphasised their strong support for tree retention and greening initiatives with over 70% supporting the increase in tree canopy cover in The Town.  Protecting our urban forest is a partnership between Council and residents.  We look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback on the proposed scheme amendment and planning policy.
