Have your say on proposed changes to parking arrangements in the Wellington Street precinct
The Town of Mosman Park is inviting business owners to provide feedback as part of a review of parking arrangements in and around the Wellington Street precinct.
As the precinct continues to evolve, including the delivery of the Mos Lane development, the Town is reviewing whether existing parking arrangements continue to support the needs of the community and local businesses.
We’re seeking your view on two areas.
Proposed extension of timed parking
The Town is considering extending the existing three-hour street parking area to surrounding streets to encourage parking turnover and improve access to local businesses.
The proposed three-hour street parking area includes:
- Wellington Street (east of Manning Street)
- Samson Street (east of Manning Street)
- Manning Street (between Wellington Street and Rudwick Street)
- Rudwick Street (full length)
These locations have been identified as a starting point for discussion and may change based on feedback received through the consultation. Please refer to the map in the Documents tab.
Review of parking outside the Wellington Street shops
The Town is also seeking feedback on the current time limits for the angled parking bays outside the Wellington Street shops.
The existing arrangement includes:
- 2x 15-minute parking bays
- 3x one-hour parking bays
- 4x three-hour parking bays
We are seeking your views on whether the current mix of time limits continues to meet the needs of local businesses, customers and visitors, or whether all angled bays should change to one-hour parking.
Why are we reviewing parking?
The Wellington Street precinct is changing, and the Town is proactively reviewing parking arrangements to help ensure they continue to support local businesses, residents and visitors.
Parking demand will continue to be monitored over time, including following the occupation of the Mos Lane development, to determine whether further changes are required.
Your feedback is important to us and will help inform future decisions about parking management in the Wellington Street precinct.
