The Town of Mosman Park is developing a Strategic Community Plan that captures the community’s aspirations and will shape the way our community lives, works and plays over the next 10 years. We want to know specifically how we can support our youth!
We want young people to get excited and contribute to how things could look for the future by entering your idea in the survey below. The top idea voted by the community will receive a $200 VISA gift card, while another 4 runner up ideas will each receive a $50 VISA gift card!
People are the heart of the community. Having a coffee with friends, being part of a local sporting group or volunteering your spare time, are the things that make Mosman Park not just a suburb, but a village. That is why we want to hear from you!
Ideas have already been emerging over the last few years about what people want to see in Mosman Park, we want to explore this and capture these formally for our future. Change is coming as a number of State, National and global issues drive the deliverables for local government. We want the community to be involved in how we have to adapt our services and business to strive for a future of growth.
In this survey we are asking you about what you love, what you would like to change and what ideas you have for the future. There are 8 key questions and for those passionate about revenue and services we are even asking for your opinion on what matters most here too!
We have put together a library of documents to assist you with understanding more about the Town, you can download them here:
Putting together a Strategic Community Plan that delivers the services our community values whilst balancing increasing cost pressures facing local Councils is no easy task but it is important work. The financial realities for the Town will impact on what can be provided for the community over the next 10 years. Less than half of the land in Mosman Park is rateable, being home to six schools and a number of churches and aged care facilities, alongside some amazing parkland and natural bush. We must choose carefully how we spend the rates we collect to provide services and retain amenities which our community values.
There is a range of ways you can get involved in our community plan:
You can fill out the survey online below
You can comment in-person at one of our 'Imagine' pop-ups at The Grove Library, Alf Adams or visit our Administration Centre
Register below and join us for a drink and chat at events held at 4 of our local businesses
Register here and take part in a full day workshop where we will dig deeper into future planning and prioritising together
Host your own 'Community Conversation' with your friends, family or local community group. We will provide a $25 VISA gift card to purchase some refreshments from a local business. To register for this you will need to download the kit and apply here.
