Who is the decision maker for this planning application?

The Metro Inner-North Development Assessment Panel (DAP) will make the final decision on this planning application. Two Councillors are the Town of Mosman Park’s representatives on the Metro Inner-North JDAP.

The DAP meeting for the planning application is open to the public. Further details of the JDAP meeting will be published on www.mosmanpark.wa.gov.au/have-your-say as they are confirmed.

What is the Town’s role in the decision making process?

The Town will prepare a Responsible Authority Report (RAR) for the DAP to consider when making its decision. The RAR will provide a recommendation to the DAP, either for support subject to conditions or refusal. A summary of the matters raised in any submissions from the community will be included in the RAR.

What is the zoning of this site?

The site is zoned Commercial under Local Planning Scheme No. 3 and has a residential density coding of RAC-3.

How will the construction of the proposed development be managed, if it is approved?

Planning approval for the development would be subject to a Construction Management Plan being submitted to the Town for approval prior to the commencement of works.  The Construction Management Plan will be required to make provision for the management of construction traffic and minimisation of construction impacts, including dust and noise, on surrounding areas.

    What is a valid submission?

When writing a submission consider the criteria for a valid submission. This criteria is available in clause 6.7 of Local Planning Policy 1 (LPP1) in the key documents section of the yoursay page.

What kind of feedback is the Town seeking from the community consultation?

The Town is seeking comments, objections or support from the community in regards to the proposal.

What happens after the consultation period closes?

Once the consultation closes all community submissions will be collated and considered by the Town. These submissions will then be relayed to the applicant who will then have the opportunity to respond. The Town will then formulate a final recommendation that is sent to the Development Assessment Panel. This panel is comprised of independent technical experts who will make a decision. Community members have the opportunity to watch the Development Assessment Panel meeting. Updates will be provided along the way.

Will the applicant or anyone else know that I have made a submission?

The Town and applicants have a right to review any submission you make.

Your details will remain confidential, however your comments will still be made available.

Do I have to register for the community information session?

No this session is an informal drop in session. You are welcome to drop in anytime within the hour to ask any questions you may have.
