Council Plan - Imagine. Play. Grow.
Council Plan 2026–2036 – What Happens Next
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent community survey and shared ideas for the future of Mosman Park.
The survey has now closed, and we have been incredibly encouraged by the response from our community. We received a significant number of submissions from residents, ratepayers, local businesses and visitors, reflecting the strong interest our community has in helping shape the future of Mosman Park.
We are grateful to everyone who took the time to provide feedback. The ideas, perspectives and aspirations shared throughout this process will play an important role in shaping the Town's new Council Plan 2026–2036.
What happens next?
May–July 2026: Analysis and review
From the outset of this project, the Town engaged an independent specialist community engagement and research consultancy to help design and deliver the consultation process. This has included supporting community workshops, engagement activities and the community survey.
As the next step, the consultancy will undertake a detailed analysis of all feedback received through the survey and earlier engagement activities. Their role is to independently identify the key themes, priorities and insights emerging from the community's feedback.
The findings will then be considered through a series of internal workshops with the Town of Mosman Park, including:
- A consultation feedback workshop
- A strategic planning workshop
These workshops are internal working sessions for Council and staff and do not involve further community participation at this stage. Their purpose is to review the consultation findings and translate the community's priorities into strategic directions for the next 10 years.
July–October 2026: Drafting the Council Plan
Using the consultation findings and outcomes from the strategic planning process, a draft Council Plan 2026–2036 will be prepared. The plan will outline a clear direction for the Town and identify the priorities, outcomes and actions that will guide decision-making over the coming decade.
November 2026: Community review of the draft plan
Before the plan is finalised, the draft Council Plan will be released for community feedback. This will provide another opportunity for residents, ratepayers, businesses and visitors to review the draft document and tell us whether it reflects the priorities and aspirations identified throughout the consultation process.
December 2026: Council consideration and adoption
Following consideration of community feedback on the draft plan, the final Council Plan 2026–2036 will be presented to Council for adoption.
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed so far. The strong response to this consultation demonstrates how much our community cares about the future of Mosman Park, and we look forward to sharing the next stage of the project with you later this year.
