Mosman Park Station Precinct
On 16 November 2025, the WA State Government announced plans to fast-track housing and development around train station precincts with Mosman Park Station being identified as one of 10 priority areas. Improvement Plans and Schemes will be established within an 800-metre radius of selected stations, with the State Government taking responsibility for the establishment of new development controls including setting building heights, density and zoning within the new scheme area.
The WAPC will ultimately become the decision maker for development and zoning in this area.
On 8 December 2025, the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) resolved to initiate the draft Station Precincts Improvement Plan and begin consultation with local governments. The Town of Mosman Park has now received the draft plan and has been invited to provide feedback by 27 February 2026.
For Mosman Park, the Improvement Plan boundary extends 800 metres from the railway station as identified on the plan that can be found in the ‘Documents’ tab of this page. A future Improvement Scheme will apply to the area within this boundary.
The Town encourages that interested parties register their interest for updates via the DPLH Website Planning for vibrant communities centred around train stations.
