Glyde Street - Streetscape Master Plan
Update: 14th of August 2025
Council adopted the Glyde Street Streetscape Masterplan at Ordinary Council Meeting 29 July 2025, along with a series of resolutions for the Town to action alongside detailed designs and priority upgrades.
The priority upgrades will be progressed in consultation with our community to bring the shared vision for Glyde Street to life. For more detail on the Council resolutions, please see link above.
Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and feedback, your input has helped guide the direction of our future planning.
In August 2024, the Town started developing a Streetscape Master plan for Glyde Street in partnership with PLACE lab consultants. This project is identified as a 'priority project' in the Town's draft Precinct Structure Plan for Mosman Village and will help shape the future of our community by achieving key goals for growth and development.
The Streetscape Master plan for Glyde Street sets out to:
- Improve the entrance to Mosman Park by enhancing the connection of Glyde Street to the train station;
- Improve safety with well-designed pedestrian paths, crossing points and lighting;
- Increase public art including a 'welcoming mat' to showcase Mosman Park’s unique stories; and
- Enhance wayfinding, public furniture, and greenery to create a vibrant, welcoming space.
The plan will guide transforming Glyde Street into a lively, community-focused area that residents can be proud of.
The Streetscape Master plan recommendations are planned for implementation through the Town's capital works program over various annual budget cycles, community benefit contributions from development applications and payment in lieu of parking contributions made to the Town.
The draft masterplan is available for review to the right of this page or view a copy at the Town’s Administration Centre.
