Help shape road safety in Mosman Park

You Spoke. We Listened. Now Tell Us What You Think.
Phase 2 of the Urban Road Safety Consultation is now open.

Earlier this year, the Town invited the community to share their experiences, concerns and ideas about road safety across Mosman Park.

Community feedback provided valuable local insight, highlighting areas where residents, parents, students, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers feel improvements could make our streets safer and more accessible.

Since the close of the first consultation phase, the Town has worked with traffic and transport specialists PJA to review community feedback alongside traffic data, crash history, previous safety studies, school precinct issues, strategic planning documents and other relevant information. This work has helped identify key priority areas and develop a range of potential treatments aimed at improving safety for all road users.

By bringing these different sources of information together, the Town and PJA have been able to identify locations where community concerns are supported by technical evidence and where practical, low-cost improvements have the greatest potential to improve safety.

The proposed treatments are typical of Main Roads Western Australia's Low Cost Urban Road Safety Program, which the Town is seeking funding through. This helps ensure the proposed improvements are evidence-based, align with the grant program's requirements and target locations where they can have the greatest impact.

We are now seeking community feedback on the outcomes of this work.

This second phase of consultation focuses on:
• The priority locations identified for safety improvements; and
• The proposed treatments and initiatives recommended for consideration.

Your feedback will help us understand whether the proposed priorities and treatments reflect community needs and local experiences. The highest priority improvements will be recommended for implementation in 2027, with remaining priorities and other locations considered as part of future planning and ongoing review.

Where can I get more information about the Urban Road Safety Plan?

We strongly encourage you to read the Consultant's Report and Proposed Interventions Plan found in the Documents tab before sharing your views. The report explains how locations were prioritised and why specific treatments have been recommended.

Together, we can help create safer, more connected streets for everyone in Mosman Park.

If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Town on 9383 6600 or via email to admin@mosmanpark.wa.gov.au

Consultation is open until 5pm Sunday 9 August 2026.
