Consultation has concluded

The Town has identified a need to review and update its Local Planning Framework to ensure effective, consistent and transparent decision making. While proposed LPP18 is an administrative policy, the Town is providing greater certainty to stakeholders by clearly outlining the circumstances by which requests for refunding or waiving development application fees will and will not be considered.

The proposed policy provides a not-for-profit organisation a 50% reduction for a development application fee. The policy also sets out that the Town may refund a development application fee, the refund amount varying, depending on how much officer time has been spent on the application.

At the July Ordinary Council Meeting, Council provided in-principle support for proposed LPP18 for the purposes of public advertising.

The public comment period is open for a period of 21 days, with submissions closing on 17 September 2021.
