A sustainable future for Mossie Park

We heard you!

You told us through our Strategic Community Plan that sustainability and the environment are important to you — and we listened.

Following an 18-month period of thorough research, engaging workshops, and extensive consultations, the Town of Mosman Park’s draft Sustainability Strategy 2024–2034 was adopted by Council. The actions within this Strategy are guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and set a holistic framework for the Town’s current and future initiatives, addressing the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic, and social.

We’ve begun implementing our new actions to meet our sustainability goals and look forward to sharing these achievements with the community.

    What we're doing

    The Town of Mosman Park is developing a Sustainability Strategy and invites the community to provide their feedback and ideas so that, together, we can work towards a resilient and sustainable future.

    We heard you! 

    You told us through our Strategic Community Plan that sustainability and the environment are important to you – and we listened. 

    We’re now in the initial stages of drafting the Town’s Sustainability Strategy, focusing on seven key themes:

    1. Water

    1. Natural Environment

    1. Community Wellbeing

    1. Waste

    1. Built Environment

    1. Energy & Transport

    1. Leadership & Governance

    Our Sustainability Strategy will be guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This is a globally recognised framework that provides clear guidelines and targets which can be tailored to the Town of Mosman Park.

    We need your help and ideas to make sure we understand which priorities are most important to our Mosman Park community. We look forward to receiving your feedback and ideas which will help inform the priorities and key actions within our Sustainability Strategy.

    Community Workshop

    Mosman Park residents, local business owners and operators, students and frequent visitors to Mosman Park are invited to attend a community workshop on Wednesday 3 May 2023. Workshop participants will review survey and face-to-face feedback to date and help inform the strategy and sustainability priorities.

    Date: Wednesday 3 May

    Time: 5pm-7pm

    Venue: Town Administration

    Light refreshments will be provided.
