Consultation has concluded
Tom Perrott playground has reached the end of its useful life and is being replaced.
The Town is now seeking information from community members to help shape this exciting space by sharing your thoughts and preferences on the proposed design options.
So far, the Town has undertaken engagement in a staged approach. During the first stage of engagement (2024), we asked how you currently use the space, and what you liked most and/or least about the existing playground design.
We are now thrilled to come back to the community for the next stage of engagement where you get to have your say and share your thoughts and preferences on the three presented design options.
Why your input matters
Playgrounds are more than just play equipment - they’re vibrant community hubs where families gather, children make memories, and neighbours connect.
Tom Perrott Playground is a local favourite, and it is important that the new playground design reflects the needs and aspirations of the whole community.
We want to make sure the space is inclusive, safe, fun, and thoughtfully designed and we need your help.
How to get involved
Have your say online: Select the 'Have Your Say' button below and follow the instructions (be sure to view the images for each playground design option before completing the survey, you will find the designs to the right of this page under the 'documents' tab)
Head to the Grove Library and vote by dotmocracy (select your favourite designs and colours using sticky dots), you can also complete the paper survey and add to the comments box to tell us why you love the design, colours and design elements you chose.
We have opened this engagement up so that you can submit more than once, meaning everyone in the family can have a say, yes, even the subject matter experts in the house get to vote...aka the children! You do still need to be registered with an email address but once mum and dad have submitted a response, you can help the kids to submit a response too.
