The draft Local Planning Strategy is about protecting what we love, while preparing for a vibrant, connected, and inclusive future. Your voice matters - let’s plan a thriving Mosman Park, together.


COMMUNITY LED, FUTURE FOCUSED

This draft Local Planning Strategy has been built on your ideas, values and feedback through preliminary engagement undertaken in November and December 2023. Two documents were created in this phase:

  • Mosman Now - This context document was prepared to guide community feedback through the Preliminary engagement phase;

  • Mosman Next - Capturing the outcomes of preliminary engagement and informs preparation of the draft Local Planning Strategy

HOW TO GET INVOLVED AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK

Please refer to the 'documents' tab on the right to view the draft Local Planning Strategy and all relevant documents or view online below, check the FAQs to get a good understanding of key aspects and provide feedback using any one of the following methods:


  • Complete the online survey by scrolling down (Town's preferred method)

  • submit a hard copy survey in person available at the Town's Administration building, 1 Memorial Drive Mosman Park

  • in writing sent to P O Box 3, Mosman Park 6912 or

Consultation will close 31 August 2025.

Drop-in sessions provide an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about the draft Strategy. You can come at any time during the session and there is no need to register your attendance


ATTEND A WORKSHOP (registrations required)

When: Saturday 16 August, 1-3.30pm and Sunday 17 August, 9.30am-12pm

Where: Council Lounge, Town of Mosman Park Administration building

We are currently at the 4th milestone, of 'Consultation on Draft Local Planning Strategy' so this is the last opportunity to have your say before it is adopted by Council and finalised.

    Town of Mosman Park Draft Local Planning Strategy    

    The Town of Mosman Park is planning for the next 10-15 years - and we want the community to be at the heart of that journey. 

    Our draft Local Planning Strategy (draft Strategy) sets the direction for how land use and development can evolve across the Town, while preserving the lifestyle, natural beauty and community spirit that makes Mosman Park so unique.  

    This Strategy is not just a technical document – it’s a shared vision for the future, shaped by local voices and guided by the aspirations in our Strategic Community Plan 2021–2031. It recognises that as we grow and change, we must balance community values with good planning practice and State planning requirements.
