Local Law Review February 2026: Phase One; Stage Two

At its November 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council resolved to amend or repeal the following Local Laws :

(a) Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Law 2000 - AMEND to: Local Government Property, Activities and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Law 2025

(b) Local Laws relating to Floodlights and Other Exterior Lights 1998- AMEND to Urban Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2025

The Town is now seeking public feedback on the proposed amendments of the above Local Laws.

The proposed amendments and copies of the amended draft Local Laws can be viewed under the important information section of the Town’s Your Say page, as well as hard copies being available for inspection at the Town’s Administration building.
